Kia ora koutou
I trust you have all had wonderful holidays and time to relax and recharge ready for Term 3.
We have been working at school this week to prepare for the term ahead and are really excited about the learning opportunities that are scheduled for your tamariki.
We will be preparing for our school Cross Country this term. This often brings with it a flurry of notes excusing children from participating. We do not make children run. We do however expect all children to be able to at least walk around the field to prepare for this event. The teachers will also be doing this every day. Your kids will need good shoes to do this in (heelies and gumboots are not good for this training).
We are really enjoying using Seesaw to communicate with you all and will continue to do so. If you have not signed up to Seesaw yet or are having problems please let one of us know.
Thank you to those parents who are in regular communication with us about both highs and lows in your children's lives. We love sharing pics of exciting events and appreciate when you let us know if your child has other events happening in their lives that can impact on their day.
Please keep that correspondence coming.
A few reminders:
Library day is Wednesday.
Headphones are essential to have at school - we do not have class sets.
Home readers come home on Fridays and you keep these for the week - then get new ones the following Friday. Please see the teachers if these are not making the trip home.
We have an open-door policy and are always happy to chat.
See you Monday
Lyndon and Wendy
