Daffodil Day - This Friday

Daffodil Day symbolises all New Zealanders coming together in the fight against cancer. This year, Daffodil Day is on Friday 31 August 2018. Daffodil Day is Cancer Society's most important annual fundraiser.
At school, each hub has a sheet to stick a gold coin onto to turn the white part of the daffodil into gold. If you have a spare gold coin to donate to this cause please bring it along THIS Friday.

Hi my name is Megan Vickers
I am a second-year Primary school Education student from the University of Waikato. I am at Frankley for the next six weeks for my placement. I am 19 years old and have grown up in Taranaki my whole life.

I am enjoying studying Primary Education and all the challenges that come with it. I chose dance and drama as my option papers as that is what I enjoy and what I am interested in teaching in my classroom in the future.

Outside of study, I enjoy swimming, reading and cooking. I have also done dance and Karate most of my life and completed exams in both areas.

I look forward to working with all the students in Te Pihinga over the next six weeks.

And yes we are having a dress up day!  On Thursday 9th August come along as your favourite book character - or just wear your onesie!!!!  Parents,  please do not go to any expense for this event and if you need help with a dress up come and speak to Bonnie or Wendy.

We love a good dress up!
